Hearing Aid Batteries
Batteries supply the electric current necessary to operate the circuitry of the miniature amplification system that is your hearing aid. We recommend that you always have replacement hearing aid batteries on hand, just in case!
- We offer zinc-air batteries, which offer superior performance and are better for the environment than older mercury or silver batteries. Furthermore, they last up to two times longer, meaning that you cut the frequency of replacing your batteries in half. You can also pick up a battery checker to measure their capacity when desired. Zinc-air batteries retain their full power right up until the moment you remove the protective tab before use.
- Rechargeable batteries (along with charger) are also available at the clinic. This type of battery can last up to one year before recharging. However, they are only compatible with rechargeable hearing aids.
- Store your batteries in a dry place at room temperature. Keep away from heat and all contact with metal, such as keys or money. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
- Bring us your used batteries when you visit the clinic and we will recycle them for you. When it comes to the environment, every little bit helps!
